  1. Trim – use a trimmer for sideburns, under the nose and to shape facial hair and remove excess hair before shaving
  2. Change blades – fresh blades provide a smoother, more comfortable shave and helps prevent cuts and irritation
  3. Soak – wash you face and neck with warm water and soap before you shave as this helps remove dirt, natural oils and perspiration that inhibit water penetration and makes hair softer and easier to cut.
  4. Prepare – Apply enough gel to keep beard hair soft and lessen the friction between the blade and your skin
  5. Relax – use light, gentle strokes, remember to rinse your razor frequently and shave in one direction
  6. Save the best for last – leave hard to shave spots until last to give them extra time to soften
  7. Rinse and protect – after shaving, rinse your face and neck with cool water and pat dry. Then use an after shave balm to comfort your skin
